SymTrack Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026.
1. Overview
SymTrack brings everyday observations and medical notes together in a private health timeline. You can log stool, skin, symptoms, teeth, food, urine, blood pressure, outpatient visits, and test reports, with notes and photos where supported, and keep separate profiles for different people.
This policy explains how SymTrack handles information when you use the app. SymTrack is designed to keep sensitive health tracking approachable, organized, and privacy-first.
2. Information stored in the app
SymTrack may store the information you enter, including symptom categories, dates, notes, photos, body locations, food details, blood pressure readings, visit details, prescriptions, test reports, profile names, medical information, AI conversations, widget data, and app preferences. Core health records and photos are stored on your device.
This information supports logging, timeline review, recording-activity charts, profile management, medical information, widgets, local backups, and optional AI features you choose to use.
3. Sensitive photos and device protection
SymTrack can blur sensitive images until you choose to reveal them. You can add an app PIN and optional biometric unlock to help prevent casual access to private entries.
Device security remains an important part of protecting SymTrack data. We recommend using a strong device passcode, biometric lock, and secure backup settings.
4. Backups, exports, and portability
SymTrack supports local JSON or ZIP backups and can restore data by merging with or replacing existing records. Exported backups can contain health records, profiles, medical information, settings, and photos. Data leaves the app when you export or share it to a destination you choose.
Exported files may contain sensitive information, so keep them in a protected location. Files saved or shared through platform services are also subject to your device settings and the destination's data handling policies.
5. Data collection
SymTrack does not require a Fatboy Tech account for the symptom tracking features described in this policy. Fatboy Tech does not sell your personal information and does not use your SymTrack data for advertising.
AI assistance is optional. You choose the provider and model, supply your own API key, and control which data tools the assistant can use. API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. Third-party service charges may apply, and core recording features remain available without configuring AI.
6. Data sharing
We do not share your SymTrack symptom logs, photos, profiles, timeline entries, or dashboard history with third parties for advertising. Data may leave your device when you use optional AI, export or share records, use platform services, or where required by legal and safety obligations.
When you use AI features, relevant text and permitted photos are sent to your chosen external AI provider. Photo upload permissions can be set by category to ask each time, allow uploads, or deny uploads. The provider's own terms and privacy policy govern its handling of information it receives.
7. Retention and deletion
SymTrack keeps app data until you edit it, delete entries or profiles, reset the app, remove backups where available, or uninstall the app. Deleting the app removes local app data according to your device platform's normal uninstall behavior.
8. Health information
SymTrack is a personal tracking tool and is not a medical device. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support. For medical questions, urgent symptoms, or care decisions, contact a qualified healthcare professional.
9. Children's privacy
SymTrack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you create profiles for family members, you are responsible for managing that information appropriately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
